Overview: "Motif + Scale + Color = Fabric
The formula sounds simple, but designing fabric is very much like a Choose Your Own Adventure book. If you’ve ever wondered what the quilt fabric design process looks like, this lecture is for you! I will share all the steps along the way, from finding inspiration and choosing patterns and scale to adding color, and the hardest part of all, naming the fabric collection! Hear about narrowing down more than 70 different color choices to just 14 for my first collection, as well as show how I designed quilts specifically to help promote the fabrics.

Postcard Views
Create 3 landscape quilts with designer/teacher Lisa Swenson Ruble! These quilts are assembled on a muslin base using raw edge fusible applique techniques. In this workshop, we’ll walk through the assembly of all three designs, tips and tricks during the process, and machine quilting options. The pattern includes templates and instructions for all three quilts (your choice of Postcard View and Sunset Vibes - and workshop may be comprised of both). (Pattern $15 – prepurchase

Classes are $40 members and $50 for non-members.​​
